This morning I woke up and made myself a smoothie with all the berries I had in the fridge (blueberries, strawberries and raspberries) and honestly it tasted so damn good! It got me thinking about eating and living a cleaner life. Recently I have started on a journey to start eating and living clean because I want my son live as clean as possible when he’s an adult.
What IS eating clean you ask? Well to put it simply, clean eating is about eating whole foods, or “real” foods — those that are un-or minimally processed, refined, and handled, making them as close to their natural form as possible. Got it?!
Choosing fresh, whole foods with all of their nutrients intact. And that means trying to avoid processed foods, including healthy things like unsweetened almond milk (unless it’s homemade), as well as foods with added processed sugar.
