Christmas Market at Tate Modern London

Pretty wooden chalets will fill the space between the Tate Modern and the Thames once more in 2015 for this traditional Christmas market. Browse handmade wooden toys, unique jewellery, intricate decorations and plenty more, then tuck into bratwurst, crêpes, roasted nuts or a warming cup of glühwein. A carousel and festive music help add to the Christmas spirit.

With its beautiful bijou cobbled streets and bustling atmosphere, Motcomb Street is made for late-night shopping strolls. Head over on 4th December when the specialist shops and salons (everything from high-end fashion boutiques to chocolatiers) will stay open until late. Plus there’ll be performances from The Holland Park Opera Singers and you might even catch a glimpse of Father Christmas himself…
Christmas on Southbank

Those looking for a glitzier Christmas should head to hit cabaret show La Soirée which brings together burlesque and circus side-show entertainment, while purists should book tickets for the Philharmonia Orchestra’s evening of Christmas classics. The Rekorderlig Cider Lodge will offer a Swedish-style drinking den featuring fire pits, Scandi furniture and Swedish food (Nov 20-Jan 17, 10am-10pm daily). Bump Roller Disco will offer family-friendly skating and club nights at weekends. The Choir with No Name will lead a big Christmas sing-along on Friday December 11 followed by a weekend of events supporting and raising funds for charitable causes will take place on Saturday December 12 and Sunday 13 including a charity shop fashion show, a dance marathon and an auction.
